Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    HI ,

I want to get a starter book for for GF as she wants to get in to photography, as she never puts her current camera down.
Just got her the new Powershot G11 to get going- heard great things about it.
Can anyone recommend a good book that will help her start getting the most out of the camera?
Or even allow her to begin taking more professional photos

    Thanks in advance...

This "Understanding Exposure" is a great book by Bryan Peterson recommended many times on here in the past. I bought it myself two years ago and read it twice.

He has written other useful books and runs a photography school now in Canada I think. He posts tutorials on youtube which are fun and interesting.

Agree with that and his other book "Learning to See Creatively" is an excellent companion to it. As good as it gets not just for beginners either.
