Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I know the idea of naming the awards of gazzumped last year incase of any possible flashpoints.

    Will we be treating it the same this year that we shouldn't name them or would it be ok to give them names?

    Well I've no problem naming them after 'real' players/personalities, once no posters are specifically targeted in the titles.

    Of course, what I meant was naming them after players/managers etc.

    A la Boggles 'Carlos Tevez' idea above.

    I quite like the idea of the 'Eirebhoy Award for Best Poster' though.
    I'm assuming that would be ok?

    Good idea. I agree with MementoMori's suggestion about the trolling award being done away with, why do we want to encourage trolling?

    Other possible suggestions for awards....

    'Fail' award - for the post that failed the worst in 09

    Bet of the Year - Vote for the best bet in the Soccer Gambling Superthread.

    Mod of the Year? - I dunno why not it'd be good to give them some credit for their hard work, and it could also be seen as forum feedback in a way as the ones with the most votes modding style could be seen as the most favoured by posters here.
