the wolfsburg defender must be absolutely sick. litterally it goes from him putting his side through to the next round, to his team out of europe 10 seconds later. horrible stiff for the guy.

Last I read about the doping case, it was the doc hadn't listed that he had them on sudefed, so it would seem harsh to kick them out of the tournement for it...

It changed to coos-a-shaq after half time. The other commentator was pointedly pronouncing it properly too. Ah, well at least we got a result. We should've hammered them with that team.

Strangely enough - considering we ony needed a draw & seeing the team sheet before the game - that turned out to be the most entertaining United CL game this season so far! (And not just coz we won)

Well, that was just a fan-****ing-tastic team performance, great to see.

One thing I wanted to note was that Gibson really impressed me today, much more than he actually has in the past 2 games where he scored. His passing was utterly outstanding today, fantastic. In the first half particuarly he was binging balls all around the park. His tracking back was also excellent, and just before Owen scored his third, Gibson was the midfielder who got back and prevented an almost certain goal.

Great performance from him in all aspects of his game, which I must say, really surprised me. He's stepping up, and if he can push on and maintain, he's got a real future at United.

Anderson was poor I thought, was trying to force the issue I felt.
Welbeck needs to cop and and get onside more, shocking amount of unnecessary offsides.

Obertan set up two goals tonight with picking the right passes. Really impressive cameo. Looking like a great little super sub for us. Still has to impress when starting.

Great Result. delighted for Owen too , joint top scorer in the CL. He had plenty of pace for that last goal and so late in the game too.

Our makeshift defence was pretty dodgy, i hope we have afew of the regulars back for Villa.

Very happy with that result, obvioulsy.

3-1 flatters us, we could have bene 3 down ourselves in the first half if not for some schocking heading; and carrick was very lucky not to give away a penalty, it should have been given as one.

Delighted for Owen tonight. He worked his socks off form us, and got himself a hattrick in return - didn't think he'd have the legs in him for the third to be honest.

Thought Kuszczak was very good tonight. there were moments where he looked all at sea under crosses, but he did very well in general, delighted with how he is performing lately.

Great cameo from Obertan too. Two assists and on was an absolute peach.

Will be very intersted to see what happens with CSKA - has it happened before where a team has been kicked out for doping irregularities for their players (two players supposibly taking something for a sore throat).
