Howlett will find that hard to live down ... what was he thinking ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,249 ✭✭✭Stev_o

I can't remember the last match where two sides didn't want to hold onto the ball in dry conditions. Seriously neither side is content with doing anything with ball in hand.

Thomond really is a special place, turned down a ticket for tonight, damn.

This match is the fine example of what's wrong with rugby. Neither side want the ball, it's a fecking game of give the other team the ball! Horrible horrible stuff .

Good hit there from Howlett ... good signs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,373 ✭✭✭ongarite

Great tackle from Howlett and Gara makes it 12-12 with the penalty.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,957 ✭✭✭trout

Lol Munster are getting away with murder. Hurley offside from the kick, and then Earls holds a Perp chaser back for about 5 seconds without anyone noticing. Brilliant stuff

Bad game so far. Perpignan haven't really done anything other than take advantage of our daydreaming twice, and we haven't shown anything either, we've been kept in it by Perpignan's indiscipline.

The backs selection looks pretty redundant after the first half, Munster seem to be kicking to the corners at every opportunity. I think I counted one touch from Earls in that first half.
Gavin Hume looks like an arrogant tosspiece, hopefully he gets raked out of it at some point in the second half.

Perpingnan aren't that great. Very little attacking play from them, 2 poxy tries down to munsters defensive stupidity.. we should pull away now hopefully.

    Pleasant.

Munster will win this handily anyway imo. Barnes is hammering Perpignan imo, and they're not good enough in this game to get the territory they need on their own. Munster getting anywhere near the Perpignan 22 is just going to be a penalty.

Right, all square again so lets see some rugby this half.

Stuart Barnes is annoying me tonight.

Doesn't look like a match that will feature decent attacking playing judging by both teams attacking attitude.

FAO Tomas O Leary : Please stop kicking.

Even more than usual, taking something small and going on and on and on.

Great scrum from Perpignan ... like to see that again.

    All square again, 15-15.

Munster looking sloppy and lacking commitment. Kicking to touch seems to be their only game plan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 599 ✭✭✭shanagarry

Oh please, get off the pitch Wayne Barnes, you haven't a clue.

Best period of play from Munster in the match. Only took an hour!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 599 ✭✭✭shanagarry

Poor decision making for Fogarty though during that passage of play. There was a big overlap but he took it into contact instead.

He has had a relatively poor game imo, can't wait to have fla back.

I thought that was going wide for a second, the way it was shaping up.

Good work from Quinlan, he's shaking a leg tonight. Some of his pals could take notice, I haven't seen much from DOC or Wallace.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,373 ✭✭✭ongarite

Perpignan are throwing the game away with needless penalties.

Thank god ROG has the kicking boots on tonight.

    21-15 now.
