what planet are they on to think anything under A2 is like a fail?
The planet where you need to get atleast 560 - 580 points. They have a point, in an odd way I suppose. I am only in 5th year though so its a bit much tbh.

Yeah, the points drop from an A1 to an A2 is cruel. 10 points!

Nah, they don't have a point. You should be the person who wants yourself to do well, not your parents:pac:

    Those A2's are a killer. I got 8A's but only 3 were A1's so I only got 570.
    I felt so robbed :(

Missed out on my No. 1 choice on the Cao.
I was quite devastated. I thought I'd get enough for UCC.

I sincerely hope that these ridiculous results are mainly due to people with lesser results not wanting to post them.. otherwise, well I'm not as smart as I thought (or else my Xmas exams, starting tomorrow, are going to be 10X easier than expected..which is unlikely).

If you think these are good you should check out the LC results thread from last year. :)

    We don't get xmas tests.

This might be a stupid question but are you all getting a full subject paper? Or just an odd comprehension or 2/3 long question type things?

We're not getting a full paper in anything, only doing 2 essays for english etc. And i'm on here instead of studying so my future results are plummeting as I type :(

I sorta am in only 3 subjects.

Maths- 1 paper, mix mash of paper1+2

English- Did a paper over the weekend, she told us after we did it it would be graded and put as the first half of the exam, nd half is a paper 2.

French ( which i think is a bit riduclas)- We already had an oral ( 66% :D 15% improvement from last time), No tape, But:

    -2 reading comps.
    -2 essays.
    -3 letters
    -2 diaries
-And 2 grammer sections, This is WAY MORE than you'd get in the actual leaving =/

Too late to study anyway sure:rolleyes:

I only started mine yesterday. I won't get my results until January.

    My predictions;
-English - reasonably ok. Three essays, two were fine, the last one was a bitch.
-Home Ec - I failed :( Nothing I studied came up. It was a stupid paper anyway.
-Biology - Pretty good. I'm guessing a B because I couldn't do one of the questions.
    All higher :(

Quite shocked at mine because I didn't do a tap of study, apart from cramming the night before

Irish(H); 85% [He doesn't correct them properly at ALL]
    English(H); 87%
Maths(H); 77% [He told us that they were questions from '04 to '09. Only got that result by learning off all the sample answers....]
Geography(H); 80% [Joke of a test. We have a substitute and he gave us the questions and sample answers a week beforehand. Should have gotten 100% :P]
French(H); 77% [Disappointed here, should have gotten the A]
    Physics/Chemistry(H); 91%
    Ag. Science(H); 92%

545 points, though :D If only I could get that in the actual exam :o
