This is possibly the most impressive physique Mir has ever had.

He's normally carrying a lot of extra weight.

I wonder has his cardio improved with the extra bulk of muscle he's gained.

If it hasn't I reckon he'll gas very quickly against Kongo.

Kongo never looks fast but he's extremely powerful & normally holds a steady pace!

Agree, Mir has never looked better, i was suprised he looked so good, when i heard he had to cut weight for 265 i was expecting a fat mess on the scales:)
he would wanna forget about lesnar until he gets tru kongo tho!

    lol. I hope anyway :).

If mir can pull off an impressive victory here it will go some way in restablishing him as a contender, and it will renew my belief in him that he could be a great fighter. So if he does win, I hope he does it convincingly.

all the same though, kongo by tko in the second. :D

Didnt read all of the thread but I can only see 1 winner here -Mir (on the ground.)
Different league IMO, but its a funny ol game..........

I've lost enough money on kongo over the years
i thought he'd destroy herring but when herring connected
in the first kongo didnt want to go to war with him
and in the third i watch my money go down the drain when
herring sat on him for most of the third round
had a nice bet on him against velasquez also and
although he nearly took the head clean off velas he
    still couldnt avoid the takedown

Al turk and hardonk were inferior heavyweights to him
    and never had a chance
his best win was against crocop but who did crocop actually
    beat in the ufc anyway?

Kongos ground game must be the worst in the entire division
and for that reason I can't see him beat mir

Mir is a man on a mission
the mission being to eventually get another
crack at lesnar and ive never seen him looking better

Very impressive win alright by Mir, still dont think he has enough in him to Defeat Brock but then again no one knows how Lesnar will be when he is ready to come back!

Super win by Mir. I like him, best submission specialist in the UFC.

    Won't beat Brock though.

You did see that fight didn't you ?

The chances of Brock being that sloppy won't happen again. No way.

You could say the same about the second fight, the chances of Mir being that sloppy again or getting caught in such a bad position.

Also i dont know if you are aware that Demian Maia is a UFC fighter. Calling Mir the best sub artist in the UFC is wrong. He is savage good though.

This just seems tooooooooooooo easy to make up a comment about (so easy we shall refrain) and just consider what is with Dana's hand position and the look of "ohhh yeaahhhh" of Kongo's face

Difference was that was Brocks debut in the UFC ... didnt Mir pull out the win over Nog and claiming to be in the best shape blah blah blah before the rematch??

Even with bulking up now Lesnars sheer size and his ability to use that to his advantage along with the strength in those hands will still outmatch Mir.

No chance of him being caught in the same position? As he did in round 1? AND round 2?
