    progressivity??

    Captain Pedantic? :D

I think his forecast is off, economic recovery in 9 months? I don't think so. As for consumer prices falling, has he seen the price of basic staples like bread & milk?

They will have to supply me with water that I can safely drink on a day to day basis first rather than waiting for people to get sick and go oh we need a boil notice again!

progressivity?!? What kind of a word is that?

To be fair, it's a real word.

He just used it really badly.

No surprises there. He also used the word "myriad" very awkwardly.

Home heating oil and gas not going up until may - surprising.

Water is a resource these days. It was bound to be taxed eventually...

PRSI changes are more interesting... I didnt like the comments about personal taxation which seemed aimed at low earners which is unfair in consideration of the PRSI "broadening".... I'll wait for the details....

Carbon tax... on the back of "green issues"... anyone want to bet it will go straight into the government coffers...

    DeV.

At least the carbon tax for home heating doesn't come into effect until May

Did I get this right? Irish citizens, regardless of where they are in the world, who earn over €1 million will be slapped with a €200k tax?

They don't even provide a proper service for the whole country. plus if the water metering system on farms in Sligo (dunno if its been expanded outside Sligo) is anything to go on, they'll just make a balls of this too.
