Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Iolar!

It would depend on what type of camera you are looking for. If you take a look through this thread here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055557678 it links to some excellent sites to narrow down what type of camera you are looking for and possibly point you in the right direction.

Have a gander through that and if it doesn't answer your question come back here and we'll try help clear up any confustion!

    Hope this helps

    KG

Hey,thanks for the above link, but if any of you knowledgeable guys could advise me it wouldbe greatly appreciated,id really need it for holiday photos, family events and maybe some wildlife photos.

In that bracket you have a lot of choice, so it's impossible to advise really unless you give us some more info, like big, small or really small, daylight or night, you happy to take jpegs from the camera or want RAW to process yourself.

The link quoted above gives you the info to answer these questions.

Well something that could do combination of all the choices,i would be happy with jpegs etc

So you want a big small one or a small big one? I'm being serious, in your price range you can go from something that can fit in your shirt pocket to cameras nearly as big as an dslr.

Almost all the cameras in your price range are good, or even really good but you need to know what you want.

the answer amongst most of the camera nerds that occupy this forum is in general:

any small camera that costs €250 is pretty much as good as each other. there isn't actually any difference as 95% of the picture quality is down to the photographer using the camera.

get one that you like the feel and size of and one that has a decent battery life. aside from that, they are all the same
