Has anyone noticed the new magazine from the Irish Wildlife Trust? It looks amazing! Anyone who remembers the Wild Ireland mag will have missed the fact there has been no decent wildlife magazine with only Irish stuff.

Is it available to buy or just a members quarterly magazine like Birdwatch Ireland, BTO etc produce? The website doesn't say.

I really miss Wild Ireland. I suppose the economic base was not enough to sustain it though.

I know the Creator and Editor of Wild Ireland who is a Film Maker called Vinny Hyland and he told me that he had to stop due to economic reasons, there just wasnt a market for it he told me.

Thumbs up! Had a look at the new Magazine (I'm a member of the IWT) and it is indeed colourful and fresh. The content is still, as it always has been, informative and professional, good authority you know?
There is a junior supplement too for kids.
Agreed, the old "Wild Ireland" was a brilliant magazine with excellent articles, really good information: I still cherish my back issues...they used to do a sort of running update on seasonal topics like sea temperatures that I still look at sometimes!
