thinking of jumping on the left for dead band wagon, do i need to play 1 first or can i just get 2

There's no real continuing story so as this stage don't bother with the first one.

The stories aren't connected. I picked up L4D2 without playing the first and have no problems. You need access to online multiplayer as you should know, otherwise don't get it.

Have lfd 1 and thought it was terrible. Was expecting a lot more from the game.....let the bashing begin. I'd save my money and by cod instead if you haven't got it already.

Agree that it's awesome but what's the point when the second one improves on it?

Because the 2 of them are really enjoyable as seperate games. You could buy L4D2 first and play through it, then buy L4D1 and enjoy it just as much I think.

They're both amazing games but I'd go for the 2nd one as it is better. If after playing that you're craving more you could try the first one.
