Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The greatest Irishman never to wear the green. Solely committed to the Bit O'Red. Iconic.

Is this dude the homeless football champion?

That sir, is william ralph dean. known as dixie.

all time greatest striker (when footballs weighed 20 stone and none of that adidas predator nonsense and bendy footballs in mid flight).

even after a serious motorcycle accident (cracked skull or something), he didn't need a poxy peter czech mask and plundered a nice quota of 60 goals for Everton thereafter.

    60 goals I hear...huh huh...
Including 3 against Arsenal on the last day to beat the record :) Still in tact, never to be broken.

apparently Pool are going to sue for breach of contract. Rules strictly forbid everton supporters from playing for club.

I agree, but in the context of the original thread title, they do fit in with the theme of iconic football images.
Although I do question why someone would want to post them, especially the first picture. It's extremely disturbing. Great start to the New Year

I believe the initial thread started by the OP was along the lines of iconic pictures/photos. The day in question is iconic, as it heralded the end of fencing fans into grounds like livestock. It is hard hitting, granted, but these are photos that changed the match going experience for anyone who has gone to games since. Its not a question of 'liking', a mod can edit it if they wish.

Re: the first picture, people very close to death/probably dead iconic?

We may as well post charred remains of the Bradford victims
