Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

WTF, how can people like the those pics? They may be important for remembrance purposes but you like them?

i thought that this was a reaction to the pat dolan pics as a mod has obviously got involved. i was sitting there going "jaysus, bazmo and a dub in glasgo must really hate pat dolan!" :D

I posted some photos earlier depicting the hillsborough tragedy and they have offended some people, for that, i wholeheartedly apologise. Ive been a liverpool fan since the 70's so i hope people dont think it was done in a malicious fashion. I maybe should have sanitised the post in retrospect, as one of the photos was a hard hitting evocative photo of the horror that took place. Once again, im sorry for any offence it may have casued.

There's no need to be sorry, and I don't think you offended anybody (certainly not me anyway). I just think the first picture is/was extremely graphic and probably not in keeping with the general theme of the thread. I remember as a kid seeing that picture on the front page of a newspaper and it really shocked me and whenever I've seen it since it's always sent a chill through me.

I did have a moral conundrum before i decided to include it, flipped a coin and it landed on the wrong side maybe. I only put it in because i found a similar photo on boards (in colour). Anyway, lesson learned.

I hope you did not get infracted because of it?

I found the 1st photo surprising given the nature of the thread and the fact that my 11 year old was with me in at the computer. I actually think the memorial photos give more of the right impact.

I had dialogue with a moderator over it and on reflection i made a mistake with the first photo. Was just trying to tell the story using images. Hope i didnt cause any trauma to your 11 yr old. Error of judgement on my part.

A picture doesn't have to to be nice to make it good, and therefore for people to like it

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

We were not talking about "nice" pictures, we were talking about disturbing pictures.

That was my point, just because a picture isn't nice (ie, it's disturbing) doesn't mean it isn't a great picture and can therefore be admired

Well if you want to "admire" the picture that was originally posted, off you go, but it'd be a bit twisted imo.

Now the thread title says football pictures people like, I like this picture because, he's Irish, he shows that the FA cup throws up good suprises and it's also the goal which put out one of our rivals which is increasing our chances of winning the competition, whats embarrising about that?

It's basically as simple as not believing you would do something like that for those reasons.

I hope this thread is not going to be used as a troll tool and anytime a team has a bad result this thread is dragged back up.

Its a good idea for a thread lets not turn it nasty.

So you don't believe I posted that picture because of those reasons above? Everyone likes to see an Irish lad get on the score sheet, everyone likes to see the underdog win unless it's your team that goes down, (which in this case it is) and we (Arsenal) have a greater chance of winning a trophy now, no disrespect to reading who worked very hard for the win. If it were the semi finals and there were four teams left, 2 non league teams and Liverpool and Manchester United in the competition, both of the "big" clubs playing the non league teams, would you not be happy to see Manchester United go out of the competition and add to that the winning goal was scored by an Irish lad. Liverpool have now a much better chance of winning that trophy now than they did when there were four teams left.
