Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Apologies if this is the wrong forum! Mods feel free to move if it is.

My problem is this. Over the last year, every time I tried to have a Word document open at the same time as I was browsing the internet, after a couple of minutes a pop-up box thing with a countdown would appear and a voice would start shouting "file is in use" over and over again.

Now this morning I was writing a letter in Word, no web browser open and the same thing started happening.

What do I do to get rid of this? What does it mean?

Presuming you can save the file, save it as a different name and delete the original - if you can. When you open a document it creates a temp version while you work. If this temp file doesn't delete when you close the document Windows thinks the file is in use next time you open it.
