5starpool is plugging away nicely. he has around 105k with average at 132k. he told me that at the 1k/2k level he was down to 3k. he survived the first 2 assaults and ground back up without much hassle and without having to go to showdown...

bomber going strong all day. he has 255k. he seems pretty subdued though - maybe because he has parky beside him although i thought that would be a match made in heaven.

the bubble has been burst and play is finished for the day. Aidan Connolly was the unfortunate guy in the tournament. He pushed all in with KK and got called by John Duthie with AQ. Board came 8 10 4 8 A.

chips are being bagged and tagged. i'll post up eod counts if i get a chance

Fair play Nicky Power back from the brink and still there.
And the Bomber, a hard man to stop when he gets a stack.

    Good luck to you both.

Amazingly stupid . Terrible call. Anyone who doesnt go broke here should give up poker.

not knowing the betting pattern before or after the flop I would find this to be quite a sweeping statement, would you care to elaborate on it.

104 in the 550 yesterday Damo.

Bloody rollercoaster day for me yesterday. Started on just under 39k, then got KK. Thankfully when someone woke up with AA in the cutoff they just smoothcalled me. One continuation bet and a smallish turn check/call by me on a AQJ9hh board was all I lost on it. THe river cam a K, but it went check/check and I was sure I was ahead when he checked behind. I was relieved though to find otu I didn't lose my shirt on the hand. THen I went up to about 55k by knocking out the German lad that won the IPO with AK vs his AQ.

After that nothing went right, culminating in me shoving for 24k at the first hand of 1k/2k/200 UTG with A9. The Button woke up with TT and I had him barely covered, but I lost anyhow. Next hand I am in the BB for 2k of my remaining 3200. Folded to the SB and I win t\with K6 vs 46. I fold the SB to action (J4o) and then get 33 on the button, win a race (flopping a set) vs QJo and get to around 16k. Then I reshove a couple of times, with a 3 bet pot vs Jaye Renehan with a flop shove, and a few more spots and I am over 60k. Get moved table where there are loads of big stacks. I shove from the BB with AT over an active raiser and win a race when he calls vs 33, and I am at 105k now. A short while later, with 2 to go before the bubble, UTG shoves for 46100, and I have KK on the cutoff, so reshove. All others fold, and even with one T folded preflop (I find out afterwards) he still rivers a T. Devastating. I am left with around 50, and don't play another hand until the bubble burst (as I had only 1 playable hand with there was too much action, and my hand wasn't that strong). Left with 39k now, so need to get busy as the blinds at 2k/4k/500 at restart.

I came back once, here is hoping for a repeat. Good structure though, average is around 35BB still.

Congratulations to all involved in running this, looks to be a real success going on what I've heard. I'm just sorry I couldn't make it up myself!

Good luck to all who remain, I see that BigMickG is still in the running - a big touch for him would really put him on PokerStars radar. Also looks like Paul Spillane is once again proving that anything he touches turns to gold!
