Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rooney's definately earned his reputation as a diver, but he's not as bad as Gerrard.

Yeah fair play to the ref for being brave enough to give a card against an England player, plenty of refs would have bottled that.

Who cares about bloody Gerrard and diving? Jesus christ like, broken records again and again and again and again and again.

Bloody close from Rooney, bloody close.

The dive was only a 6.5 tbh. I'd dock marks for the lack of proper and pronounced indignation upon being pwned by the referee.

In anycase, Villa probably require 3 goals to win given the way the game is flowing. Utd are having a lot of possession and time in their third of the pitch.

Well it does go against fair play which in the last month has been a huge issue.

Possession stats after 33 minutes, United 65% compared to Villa's 35%.

That is probably not far off the mark to be fair. One thing I will always give Ferguson credit for is the way whatever eleven he sends out will nearly always battle to the end and not stop trying to score.

People may say they get huge slices of luck, personally it is the way they keep going to the end that puts them in the position to get so many late goals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

rooney really looks up for this.

he'll either score a couple or get sent off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,692 ✭✭✭✭OPENROAD

    Can't see Villa holding out.

  • Moderators, Education Moderators Posts: 5,503 Mod ✭✭✭✭spockety

    I predict either:

    United 5 - Villa 1
    Rooney(41,44,75), Brown(56), Carrick(87)

    Or

    United 2 - Villa 1

    Owen (89, 90+3)

Must say I like Villa's set. Heskey up there knocking the b*llcks out of ya for an hour and then Carew comes on :)

    Great game for the neutral

Makes perfect sense. Same reason I was cheering City last weekend. Villa winning puts them in a great position to push on and take 4th, which is not good for Liverpool.
