    Hello,

Recently most weekends windspeeds in Cork from Magic Sea Weed seem to be plus 40 on shore. Inchadoney is where I usually head. Am I just soft or is that unsurfable? What wind speed would be the max you'd go surfing in? Are there more sheltered spots I could try when the winds are up this high?

    Thanks,
    David

the beach next to garrettstown, garrylucas, holds up nicely in heavy onshore winds. It always looks crap from the carpark but it can be alot of fun. Very quick waves and if you can ride then to the inside section at high tide you can get yourself a closeout barrel if its big enough.
