Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Liking the team!

    No Insua and no Skrtel!

Aquilani on at some point please!

    Whats odds an 0-0 draw?

Looking at the Liverpool bench you'd have to say that the odds of Aquilani making an appearance at some stage have to be pretty massive.
Would be very shocked if he does make an appearances.

Very minimal. Liverpool have been leaking goals this season

And with Arshavin lurking I'm not so confident in our defence

While at the other end, Yossi, Stevie and Nando have the guile to get shots on goal. And not to forget Johnson to ping a few crosses into the box. Vermaelen is only 5'10" after all

I can see an Arsenal goal coming from a foul about 40 yards out on the wings, with Fabregas whipping in a nice curling ball and an Arsenal player getting a nick on it and it going in.

Why no Aquallani (SP?) again for Liverpool lads? He's surely fit and ready to go by now?

If that happens I will not be impressed having stayed up til 2am on a work night.

Goals please, and plenty of them.

Arsenal have not kept a clean sheet at Anfield since 1904 or something, its been a while.
46 goals between them in the last 11 meetings.

As for Aquilani why is anyone surprised, he played 60 mins this week already! Masch/Lucas to look to do what they did against Utd I imagine.

Nope - definitely not ready for 90 mins of football on the basis of the midweek game.

Started brightly and had some nice touches but by the time he was taken off around the 65 minute mark he had clearly run out of puff, and had little in the way of impact at all in the second half.

Much better to bring him on around the 60 minute mark and let me give what he has then.

Ha - Cant see it being 0-0 either, just thought it's kinda funny the way pretty much everyone is convinved there will be goals in this one. :)

Liverpool to win this and get us going on a nice winning run hopefully.

If Rafa said he didnt want to throw Aquilani in against Blackburn because they were too physical then fair enough... But why isnt he playing against Arsenal?

    Bonkers.

Ugh, that Arsenal team just looks too narrow (Walcott aside, who's not very good) and features too many skillful players who aren't able to just bulldoze their way through a defence and smash it in the net.

Got a feeling it'll be the same old story. Arsenal have most of the possession, pass it around a lot but never really threaten.

Right, I'm getting this in early - if this thread turns into a United/Pool circle jerk then it will be locked and no other match thread will be created.

    Infractions/bans will also apply accordingly.

    Cheers

Going to be a good game either way, both need the points..

I don't see that happening. Arsenal 2 nil winners is where my money is.

Love hearing the Liverpool fans belting that out,

No excuses with this team, here's hoping they all hold out for the full 90 mins,

    looking forward to this,

    Huge game for all involved

I'd good for the soul to see Stevie and Nando take the field together.

    Anfield is buzzing!

Arsenal to win, Torres and Gerrard to come off injured.

As much as I dislike Liverpool, there's something special about hearing 'You'll Never Walk Alone' before a game.

I look forward to the day I go see City play at Anfield.

I personally think this is the type of game Aquilani was bought for.

Because i support Manchester United it is seen as provocative.

Is that not totally rediculous and over-sensitive?

It may have been, but it's just come too early for him to play a full 90 minutes. I'm sure he'll be on around the hour-65 min mark

    Carragher at it again.

Arsenal passing extremely poor so far.

Both teams have started very brightly.

Pool looking a bit more likely to get something though.

    Poor finish from Torres.

    Vermaelen's fault for going wandering.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Holsten

Ahhhhhhhhhh, Torres should have finished that.
