Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Not sure if you can do it with media player but you can do it with tversity. It's free to download.

Yeah it works great. There's none of that messing around with codes and it can transcode videos on the fly so you can watch videos that Windows Media Player doesn't support.

127.0.0.1 is a loopback address given to the network interface on your computer. Your computers IP address would be something like 192.168.2.3 for example. If the stream is just a URL on the Internet I'd say the Internet Video option in Sources would be your best bet. I've never used it though so I'm just guessing.

You need VLC installed aswell if IIRC.

Then create a shortcut to VLC on your desktop (if there isn't already).

Right click on the VLC shortcut and put this in the 'Target' field :
    "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.asf --sout "#std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=:1234}"

Open your stream in sopcast and wait for it to load.

    Open your VLC desktop shortcut.

Open tversity and add this URL: mms://127.0.0.1:1234

    That should work!

This didn't work with the latest version of VLC for me. There is an updated guide here http://www.brighthub.com/electronics/home-theater/articles/54231.aspx

Wow wasnt aware this was possible.

So basically I can watch a football match streamed on the internet and use the ethernet cable to get it onto the xbox - is this correct?

    Is it this simple?
