Unlocking a phone...

    Hey,

    Just wondering,

    I'm on Meteor and I want to get a new phone for xmas but the selection of phones available on Meteor is pretty dismal. So lets say I go in and buy the phone I want in the Vodafone shop, how long do I have to wait, if I have to wait at all. before I can go in to the Meteor shop and get them to unlock it for me to work on meteor??

    Meteor cant unlock it for you. They only unlock meteor phones.

    You can buy a vodafone phone, and get it unlocked in an unlocking shop depending what model it is.

    You could also buy a sim free phone online or otherwise and not need to get it unlocked, it would work with any network straight away. If you need some ideas for shops, read the FAQ sticky on the main page
