Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This isn't something that I normally do, but in this instance I've found I enjoy all three versions, if for different reasons. Opinions?

Fenster I'm torn between the last 2, I seem to be leaning more towards black and white but I am unsure. Beautiful though no matter which you choose.

this is a great image, you got the composition just right :) i'm all for #2, there's something about the light in the other two that just doesn't sit right with me but #2 is perfect.

Would be number 3 all the way for me....

When I have the money, I may run off a triptych of all three. In the meantime, here is the rest from today:

First one just looks a little off - like the white ballance is incorrect. Does not seem like a creative manipulation.
The second one is quite close to BW prints, very nice, but quite common.
The third one has greater range of tonality, therefore it is the most interesting for me.
Just my opinion, nothing mandatory to follow or get upset about :pac:

#2 - nicer contrast (i'm stilted in that direction generally).

    Definitely #2, I love B&W's though...

Depends on what you were aiming at

    Number 1 for me

I ithink number 2 looks a t bit overexposed too much light and no defination in the trees.
Number 3 to me looks like a negitave - whihc is great if that's what you wanted.

But I see there's lots of different views here. So no right answer - they all suit different things

I'd have to agree with ThOnda, tonally number 3 leaps out more. It is for me a far more interesting photo.

I am honestly a little taken aback at how polarized people have been about the image!

theres also the fact that not everyone has a color calibrated monitor and some people are possibly using poor laptop screens

I usually have my macbook pro connected to a dell 24inch (with 8bit ips panel) and check an image against the 2 diff screens. they dont have to look exactly alike on both screens but I can usually get a better image if it looks good on both

I use a netbook, thank you. I'll repeat my earlier surprise, with an addendum that everyone has seen and interpreted something different in the three versions.

(God, don't I sound like an artsy arsehole right now?)

Definitely the B&W one for me!

    9 out the 12 comments/votes picked no2?

I have looked at them on 3 different monitors & a laptop and still like #2 the most :)
