UPC now redirecting failed requests

    Just noticed that UPC are now redirecting failed requests.

    So for example, if you type in a domain name which does not exist - instead of your browser displaying a "page not found" error, UPC will redirect you to one if their pages (searching.upc.ie). A sample screen shot is attached.

    This is something similar to what OpenDNS do to generate advertising revenue. Some users may also prefer to see the "page not found" error.
