Just wondering does anyway know if the 6 red world championships going to be a yearly event in Kilarney. Suppose no one knows until the calender for 2010/2011 from Barry Hearn is annouced. Its hard to see it surviving if the planned 12 or 16 tournament get the go ahead on the pro circuit. It would be a pity as its great to see 130 players gather in Kilarney for this tournament. I hope it stays I was thinking of entering it next year.

It sure is, was talking to Ken earlier and this is the first of a five year contract for this event. Regardless of the calendar for next season it will certainly have a slot as they are running the tournament over four days.I've been down here since Monday night and it's been great fun, all the players especially the top boys are all in great form and very relaxed, i'm just sorry i did'nt enter myself, mind you with six reds i would'nt have much of a chance!!:)

Who's sponsoring the event and what are the crowds like? I can imagine that there's a decent atmosphere amongst the players at an event like this, which would make them want to come back to it next year.
