Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Crazy tackle by Vermaelen, thought he got some of the ball though.

I can't believe professional footballers are sending corners directly into the side-netting.

    I'm looking at you Tevez.

Are Walcott + Diaby even on the pitch? I haven't noticed.

Robinho, Tevez, Adebayor and Ireland playing some sexy football.

    Just need an end product.

City and spurs is very scrappy. Needs a goal to give the game some shape.

Defoe almost hits the corner flag

I know it's no consolation.. But I'd love to see Ramsey start a few games in Fabregas's position. He has such huge potential.

    Spurs' gameplan:

    1. Get the ball
    2. Give it to Lennon
    3. ???
    4. ???
    5. Profit!

Spurs all over City atm, should be 2 up.

We miss SWP so much. The right wing is nothing in this game. Need to get Miami Weiss on asap.

Yeah wonder if Hughes will tell someone to give him some cover. Get 2 v 1 situations against Lennon.

Barry was doing it for the first 25 minutes.

Yeah but every time it's 1 v 1 Lennon has him for pace.

Gwan Pompey, although it will be short lived.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,552 ✭✭✭Bobalicious93

Why not even just switch Tevez and Robinho? Surely Tevez could chase back and give Sylvinho a hand, if Barry isn't doing it anymore..

    Porstmouth score. 1-1 :)

I know it's not premier league,

but have gone to watching Brugge v Toulouse on Setanta,

the players are all over the place, can't even run full pace or they'll be on their arse,

they all seem to be wearing trainers too, madness!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

We have been absolute malojen in the second half so far, we don't even deserve to be level.

Nasri and Walcott have been anonymous.
Eduardo/Vela/Wilshere on for one or both of them. Please!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,680 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    go on pompey

Route one 101 from Crouch and Defoe

Time to haul off Ade. Woeful.

No idea. Should've been done for the first one on Tevez.

Burnley have a goal ruled out for offside.

But Almunia misses a trickling cross beforehand, he has had an awful awful game, looks like he's let the headlines get to him.

Santa Cruz for Robinho to give us even less width

How was Robinho ? Does he look like a guy on the way out in Jan or did he put in a decent effort ? Last I heard Barca have gone a bit cold on their interest.

    2-1 chelsea :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

Vela or Wilshere for the love of God.

Don't think I've even heard Arshavins name in the second half....

...also Barry playing wide left with Petrov sitting on the bench? It's not all Adebayor's fault in fairness either, I see little point in playing a target man like him and then playing a system where absolutely no crosses get put into the box... maybe it's just me tho.

He was quite poor tbh. I don't think he's really suited to the PL. I'm sure he could do quite well against the piss poor defences in La Liga if he went back, but I've never been overly impressed with him at City.

He was poor overall. Tracked back a bit but ineffectual on the ball and even Corluka, the slowest defender ever, was comfortable against him.

he was anonymous. Also marched right down the tunnel after walking really slowly off when we are 2 zip down.

Nope you're spot on. No point have two strikers who are good in the air if we have zero wingers. Madness from Hughes to say the least, particularly with a right and left winger warming the bench.

Burnley deserve a peno as Silvestre handball's in the box.

His body was outside but his hand in, which I think confused the referee...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,680 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

city have a goal in them I reckon
