smtp problems

i am having problems with my email sending - occasionally thunderbird just hangs while sending - it is something to do with the smtp gateway - if i save the email as a draft and shut down thunderbird and re open then it works fine - ( sometimes i also have to repair the network also ) my question is this - someone told me…

my question is this - someone told me once that my smtp (digiweb's) is not that good - buy how can i change this

not really into setting up an smtp gateway on my machine, but i have a website smtp i could use but i dont think digiweb allow that

any helpful information appreciated thanks
