Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello,
Will be in the Dun Laoire next week and would like to know a good halal butcher in that area. I know the mosque in Clonskeagh, more Dun Laoire would be better.

    Thanks JD.

    Salaam Greenman,

Sorry but I do not know of any Halaal butchers in the Dun Laoire area. Perhaps some other posters can help you.

Is it legal to kill animals for butchering without stunning them first in Ireland?

My brother worked in the Meat industry in the Nineties and according to him, the treatment of some of the poor animals in the Irish plants was plain sick and cruel. I wouldn't repeat what he told be because it is simply disturbing. He reckoned the Halal method was much more efficient and less stressful on the animal. There has got to be enough people of the Muslim Faith in Dublin who can help Greenman with his query.
