Which Digital Package on NTL?

I am thinking of moving to NTL Digital.

Currently paying €24.45 for analogue + 3 multirooms.

Not sure about which Digital package from NTL to go for. Is there much of a difference in picture between Digital and Digital HD ?

    Any advice would be welcomed.

    Thanks, in advance.

All channels are Upscaled on the HD box plus you get 8HD channels on the MAX pack.

The picture is great on HD and if you have a 5.1 amp you get Dolby Digital on the HD channels also.

    Here are the 3 packs.

With the last package you get all these HD channels

Here is the channel line up or EPG.

What benefit is there in upscaling SD pictures ??

Couple of things to keep in mind if you are switching to Digital:

If you want to watch different digital channels you will need a separate box for each TV,
The channels are limited when compared to Sky,
If you are going to switch to HD - the connection fee is steep and none of the Sky channels are carried
You rent the equipment - on the other hand if it breaks UPC must replace it
and ultimately UPC are going to switch off their analogue service so you will have to move to digital or SKY or DTT if it ever launches....

Looks like UPC have forgotten to add the cannel of all channels SMILE on their channel listing  Maybe they are ashamed of the poor channel listings as it is and don't want to add any more embarrassment to it...

What additional channels would you like to see added?

Those listings are out of date, they have Eurosport 2 now for starters.

Channels I would like to see added would include:

    Watch, the CBS Channels,ITV 2 - 4, FX & Sky Arts.

The other biggie missing in my view is Interactive especially as the BBC are putting more and more sports programming on the 'red' button.

The nice to haves would include Dave+1,Living 2,Bravo 2 and the return of Discovery Health and a Food Channel
