    Hi,

I'm looking for a few volunteers to help me with a leaving cert blog. I know there's a few different sites, and that it's a bit late in the year but it's something i've always wanted to try... anyone interested? or any advice from current bloggers?

I'm sure there'll be more interest in this thread.

We could do it on any of the hundreds of blogging sites. :p

I'd be willing if more info is givin..
How often would you want us to blog?
Do you want only 'fantastic' students?
Do you want it solely school and acedemia related or general how the year is going coupled with friends, work, stress and all the other joys of life?

I know theres loads of blogging sites but I'd say LJ, Blogger or irishblogs are probably the safer ones? more user friendly for people like me lol

    Crow92:
blog as often as you like, but at least once every.... 2 weeks maybe? month? i dont mind as long as youre not inactive
"fantastic" students.... oh God no, I'm hoping to get a real site out there that students can identify with and for the next Q, you can concentrate solely on school if you want but id prefer a more all-rounded blog... to show what life as a LC is really like..

You're probably better off going with http://wordpress.com, tbh. Blogger tends to just generally be awkward (I did blog the LC on blogger, but having switched over to WP, it's much, much better!), and I don't know very many people that would choose livejournal...

I blogged the LC on my own - you could do that too. You don't need to be in a group (though you can update less individually if you are!) leaving-cert.net got a lot of traffic, but if you comment around, and maybe advertise in your sig, you do get a reasonable amount of traffic (but unless you're a fantastic writer, and whore the crap out of your blog, in this amount of time, it won't really get all that big...).

    Hey,

I have an LC blog on http://leaving-cert.net/ (my journal name = Valerie.)It's just getting off the ground right now so there isn't much to go on yet, but we have a team of 6 bloggers so hopefully by next month there'll be a good bit of reading in it!

Hope you don't mind the plug :)
