Im sure the government have cutback on salt also:rolleyes:,bring your own:D

Funny you should mention that, I came across an unused box of dishwasher salt today. Perhaps fate is telling me I'll need to spread a little on the path at the front door?

In Co.Donegal they didnt put any salts on one of the main roads at the end of last month after an epic night of frost, the result = numerous car accidents and a lorry and a bus crash! Place was like an ice grid.

GFS throws up some heavy snow for Leinster and Munster for Tuesday. However I should put the standard health warning on this , with anything beyond three days now forecast with low confidence.....

ok thanks. its amazing how even met eireann who are professionals have changed their forecasts so much over the last 48 hours so just shows what can happen.

am confident i will see some snow at least - bound to fall right on one of the days.

We always get cold winters during a recession, remember the 1980s?
