fantastic if you are up north i'd say! i still think things can change a lot especially with that northerly spreading down on saturday.

It's fantastic that on a Thursday evening, the conservative Met Eireann are putting out an early weather warning that mentions "sleet and snow in many areas" for the weekend and next week.

The north is always going to get the most, but this is a good sign for widespread snow showers. They wouldnt release something like this so early unless they were very confident.

    Hi Guys,

Watched this thread with great fun last year. Wondering what are the chances of Sligo getting hit and any guesses to how much snowfall (if any) Last year was disappointing but we live in hope.

    Thanks Guys.

Might sound really obvious but for those posters who do not have their location listed on their public profile could you please post a location ?

Its frustrating to see a post detailing conditions and have no idea where the poster is.

(Sorry mods if this is overstepping a boundary)

See at the end of the forecast showing the weather maps for Sat, Sun, Mon Tue? Every cloud had sleet or snow under it, and clouds everywhere...

    :pac:

I did mention that earlier, but I was thinking it would be heading over to yisers (you just cant get the Irish outa me) so if its here it might give an idea what areas of the east in Ireland will get hit,

but I do believe it will happen and I think there will be plenty for all, tomorrow morning will give a better picture.

i think we have a far better chance i.e. in cork of having snow from the north and west than the east. looks a bit better from saturday to sunday for our snow chances but very hard to say exactly at the moment.
