Sport is a great way to get physical exercise. Team sports can be valuable in developing teamwork skills while individual sports can enhance self-discipline. Giving young people, especially, an outlet for physical execise can help a great deal in healthy development to adulthood. It can also help develope a healthy competitive spirit in indivuduals and communities. A sporting team or individual can be a source of pride for a community and much of sport in general is built on a volunteer foundation.

Helping people participate in sports is another way of enhancing community spirit and adding to the quality of life of people in the community.
