Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

AS Roma (ITA), Galatasaray AŞ (TUR), or Fenerbahçe SK (TUR) could sqaure up with the likes of AFC Ajax (NED), Hamburger SV (GER), Panathinaikos FC (GRE), FC Twente (NED), or FC København (DEN). Some of those pair-ups would be cloud 9 for their hooligans.:D

I'd love it if they got Liverpool and knocked them out :D

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Could happen. Wouldn't trust Liverpool against anyone these days. But Insua, Lucas and Ngog should find their level against these kind of sides.

Have to say Salsburg have done pretty good in that group to get through.
Makes you wonder if Bohs had hung on, how would they have done??

You are right, its even more impressive than I thought. They won all 6 games in a group with Villarreal & Lazio!!!

Really if Bohs had not conceded that horrible late goal, they could have done so much and pumped so much money into the club too. Imagine Bohs v Lazio and Bohs V Villarreal. Would have attracted huge crowds & tv money too.

Lets not get carried away, there would still have been a very tough game against a Croat (?) side if we hadn't conceded that late goal.

couldn't care less who we draw to be honest

  • Registered Users Posts: 452 ✭✭Jimmyboss

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the format? Is it straightforward 2 leg knockout or another league series?

Looking forward to this draw, might try to head to the away leg (so hoping it's not Roma)

Some decent looking teams in there especially with our 2nd leg away.

Its possibly not harsh enough, i mean Insua has been prone to perhaps the worst lapses of concentration i have seen of any defender, consistently lets runners go and has resulted in numerous goals from it. Pardon the cliched but if you are good enough you are old enough, how old is Fabregas, 22? Messi etc! Rant over!

Surely Liverpool will get to the latter stages.

    CL had Butragueno
EL has Horst Hrubesch (who .............>>> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horst_Hrubesch )

Comedy gold with his Q&A bit being conducted through an interpreted, who is standing way too close and whispering into Horst's ear.

Guy who is explaining the rules's mic is not working. :D:D:D
    For above 5 mins now

Anyone who thinks UEFA/FIFA are capable of managing a conspiracy should watch this for the sublime ineptitude.

Platini is away in Africa at the World Club Championships.
He will be most displeased when he gets back
