Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm looking for recommendations for the best book of Irish photos on the market at the moment, I'm not a photo buff myself so I'd appreciate all your input.

    Oh yeah I need to be able to buy online & get delivered also.
    Thank's y'all & happy snapping.

    Mods: This is not a christmas gift thread, please don't move there.:)

    OP, Irish photo's as in photo's of Ireland or photo's by Irish photographers?

    Probably a little biased ;) but this book is getting lots of great feedback;

    DK both are fine, I'll take a look at your suggestion, thanks. Why biased? is it your book?

    THanks.

    DK,

    ok I get it.

    that book looks nice & may fit my needs, can you tell me; are the photos in the preview the entire book or are there more in the book itself?

    It's looking like a one horse race which I'm sure is not the case in reality.
    Any other suggestions?

    I was given "Robert L Chapman's Ireland, photographs from the Chapman Collection 1907-1957 last Christmas.

    Chapman-small.jpg"The Chapman Collection is a unique collection of photographs spanning the half-century from 1907 to 1957 that offers a glimpse of a bygone age in Ireland. These remarkable photographs, complemented by his journal and diary entries – at turns descriptive and witty – are drawn from an archive of around 3,000 pictures"

    Apart from the Boards.ie Yearbook, which has a great variety of work, I can also reccomend Bill Doyle's Ireland. It's available from the Gallery of Photography and is a very nice retrospective of Bill's work.
