Light snow in booterstown the last while, sticking occasionly in slightly heavier pulses but overall, too light for anything decent atm

Absolutely. Don't write this spell off just yet either. Hopefully, the pattern change we have now, will be repeated and enhanced as we go deeper into winter. The southwesterly winds are gone for the moment and it will be difficult for them to re-establish easily.

sorry leahyl :( I think things will improve again. As people keep saying here snow is very hard to predict 3-4 hours out let alone 36 hours out. You will get your snow one way or other.

Looks pretty much the same up till Sunday, I think beyond that its very unpredictable, not much point looking int too much detail cause there will probably be fairly big changes between now and then.

Deep Easterly might be able to give you a better analysis :pac:

Frost very slow to clear as expected, only reluctantly melting in the fields where the sun is shining on it. Will remain frosty in the sheltered parts.

Yep, same here, beats the lashing rain and crappy drizzle we had for weeks though if nothing else...

    Snowing here now
Roads at upper level over the gap by croghan were lethal....slush from yesterday frozen solid with a little dusting on top from this morning.
Cant see it shifting anytime soon.

Look like big gray clouds are trying to gather over Newbridge at the moment , If anything falls it should be snow

    Temp
    -0.4

    DP
    -4.1
    :D

I wouldn't expect much snow down here really, might see a flurry tonight and if its cold enough might see snow overnight Saturday/Sunday morning but I'd say it would be getting marginal by then. We really need a straight, strong easterly to get any good chance, not a northerly.

Air temp going back up, DP no change.

    Temp 4C
    Dewpoint -2C

Off to do some Xmas shopping, hope there will be good buzz here when I get back this evening :)

Will be snow alright, everything that falls here at the coast is snow.

To be honest I expect all the precip in your area to be snow well into next week,I know the area well.
It's high enough and adjacent to even higher ground and well enough inland.

The frontal mess thats spreading south saturday night and sunday could well dump a good fresh covering with you.

The shower you have now is the first one this morning to get inland as far as you and croghan-about 8 miles or so.
It's been flurries and light snow down here in Arklow all morning but I could see blue sky to the west over croghan.
I doubt the flurries got much further than coolgreaney as they were flirting with the coast only.
Expect more light stuff today as it's on the radar heading towards south wicklow and wexford.
It might not get much further west than you.
