Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Data transfer cable

    Would anyone have a data migration cable that I could rent off you?
    I rang MS and they said that its going to cost €12 to get it sent to me.
    I'm a petty man and I already turfed out money for a new Xbox (instead of buying a €120 HDD) so I'd rather not give MS any more money.

    I'd be happy to pay around 5 quid for the use of one.

    Anyone around the S. Dublin (Ranelagh/Rathfarnham) area willing to help me out?

    I don't have one of the data transfer cables, but I do have a suggestion. Game should be able to transfer the data over for you. Theres a lot of views, but no replies so thought I'd just give you a bit of advice.

    I got one for free from MS. I rang up and asked for one. I explained that I had a 20gb Pro and a 120gb Elite, the guy checked up the serial numbers and then said he had to ask his supervisor. He came back about 2mins later telling me he would send it out for free. Needless to say I was in shock.

    I don't have the cable any more though, lent it out a month ago and never got it back.:mad:

    You can only really get a transfare cable if you buy another xbox, you provide them with the serial numbers..
    I have one out on loan to a boardsie at the moment, can send it when i get it back?
    dono how long hes going to hang onto it for.

    Thanks for the responses.

    Think I might just ring MS back and insist on a free one.
    I gave them the new and old S/N of the xboxes and they said it would cost me to transfer the data.

    I'll get back onto them and see if I can weasel one out of them :)
