Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ext3 filesystem recovery programme?

    here's the problem.

I removed the 1TB hard disk from my Popcorn Hour Media player (which is formatted in ext3). I intended putting this into an Xtreamer eTrayz NAS enclosure.

The eTrayz software was installed on the hard drive but when it went to set up the type of volume (RAID or Linear), I discovered that this would erase all the data on the disk, which I don't want (I have about 500GB of the 700GB backed up).

So I didn't do the format, but stuck the 1TB disk back in the popcorn hour.

The problem is that now the Popcorn's ext3 file system has been damaged by the initial software install of the eTrayz (XFS, I think) so the Popcorn wants to do a format and re-install of it's own filesystem but this will also format the disk.

I would like to use an ext3 filesystem recovery programme to repair the disk, before backing up the last 200GB and then allowing the eTrayz to do it's business.

Does anyone know a good ext3 recover programme (ideally freeware!!!) that will work for this?

    Thanks
