Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I freggin' HATE swan photos, with a passion!!! Ughhh Ahhhh I can't, ahh I'm not going to even bother.

but, I quite like that first shot

EDIT- I should specify. I hate swan photos, nothing against the lovely creatures

I think the mods should sticky this SWAN thread so we can all dip in on a regular basis. Call it the RANDOM SWAN THREAD.

Ill try do something interesting with them sometime, they dont really do many expressions do they? lol
All I had going for me in these photos was light and composition, a swan is a swan 'at the end of the day'

I had to crouch down in mud under a bridge, was wearing nice shoes too, but photography comes first. they were from jan 2009, got some very nice light during that month

those are all from the same pair of swans on the river liffey in Newbridge, at the time there was no other swans on that part of the liffey

What, you want to shoot some swans? Now that's not cricket. Only her majesty is allowed do that - or eat them or something like that.

The only reason I don't have any swan shots is because they're evil and would inevitably attack me if I went near them. I really like the swan image in the BPB though

Only noticed the can of Karpackie when I got home - happy accident..!

I'm not really one for swan shots either, but I tend not to shoot animals / birds often & it's a skill I wouldn't mind having - you know, being able to get decent photos of living things that you can't tell to sit still (not including kids ).
