    St. Anne's Children's Ward incorporating the Leukaemia Unit at the Mercy University Hospital has been looking after sick children from Cork and the Munster region for many years. Our dedicated team of consultants and specialist paediatric nurses ensure that every child receives the care and attention that they deserve.
    The ward looks after patients attending for:
    General paediatric medical & surgical care;
    Conditions relating to haematology (blood) and childhood oncology / leukaemia care;
    Disability care;
    Chemotherapy;
    The investigation of developmental disability;
    Epileptic seizures;
    Sickle cell disease (a debilitating blood disorder); and
    Asthma.
    We are now embarking on an exciting project to raise €500,000 over the next three years to invest in improving services to our youngest patients. We want to invest funding into
    The purchase of vital, life saving equipment;
    Improving facilities within the ward; and
    Improving non medical and surgical services to children through a programme that will look at ways to address the educational, psychological and dietary needs of the children being treated in 'The Mercy'.
    The Mercy University Hospital Foundation, Cork is keen to develop relationships with members of the community and business leaders in Cork to ensure that these fundraising targets are achieved.
    If you are interested in supporting the wonderful work being carried out by the staff in the Children's Ward please donate 1 euro and help to save a life
