Radar starting to pep up now across Munster
I fancy Cork to do well over the next couple of days
Sofar the night has been underwhelming though!

    Hi all,

Freezing here now in Enniskillen; bitterly cold!! Brrrrhhh!! The ran (we had) has now frozen over the cars - so any snow that reaches here should stick (I hope!)

Looking at the radar and looks like Donegal is getting a nice covering - along with the North Coast. Doesn't seem to be heading as far south.... yet!!

    Here's hoping!!

hmm where in cork is it starting to pep up?! doubt we'll see too much except in coastal regions.

still clear here and it's beginning to freeze hard. according to latest weather station reports from met eireann, it's a balmy 8 degrees in Valentia

With a strong West, Northwesterly we will get 2-4 inches by tomorrow evening. The only time we do poorly is in a straight Northerly which is what we have at the mo!

Light snow still here in West Clare but it is not sticking. Ground is saturated from earlier precip. Reckon it will not last much longer, going by the radar. Either way, the showers from Donegal across to Antrim appear to be making headway south so finger crossed that the showers become more widespread.

By the way, the temperature is 0.5c. Winds are light NW.

is there any danger of these showers losing their pep as they move southwards. is there more to come in the way of shortwave trough later on tonight or anything?

always the optimist! if we have none by morning i'd say we'd be lucky to get anything.

    Heavy rain shower in Cork.

Light snow continuing in west clare. whatever is falling is settling. The radar doesnt give cause for hope regarding heavier snow though.
