Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Fulham are closing down very fast.

Brutal service from a hopeless midfield.

Yeah but he doesn't have to shoot every time he is within 30 yards of the goal.

Meh, if there ain't a better option why not.

Hope someone gives Rooney a bollocking for that one now.

True, Rooney needs to stop messing about. They need to keep the ball on the floor.

People talk about Liverpool being a two man team, we only have one.

We're playing with two central midfielders in defence, one of whom is the best. This is a game about results. If we get it, great. If we don't, we dont. But this is testing the full extent of the squad, and really has little to do with our general play.

    funny

ando has gotten the ball closer to goals on the long range shots than gibson

When we have a full strength team we don't depend on him, Liverpool constantly depend on the 2.

He's used to playing mid-table football now. He'll fit in perfectly at Liverpool so.

Problem for pool fans like myself is that your one man might have beaten pompey today :(
Still if this result remains the same I won't have to put up with AS much slagging as I normally would from some man u fans I know.
    Now then.....................off to get drunk!

This is actually painful to watch, everytime fulham get the ball there two wide men are always available, 3-5-2 isnt workin, gettin scholes off and get a bit of width on

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,291 ✭✭✭eclectichoney

    Christ this is desperate.

Fabio to RB (take off Scholes) - Fletch in the middle, 4 at the back
    Obertan for Ando

    Hairdryer, please.

I'd bring on berba in the second for gibson and put rooney back where gibson was, rooney is playing too deep anyway.

he's had a pretty bad season/18 months, and looks off the pace pretty much every time i see him play.

he's not going to get any quicker.

it's sad to see, because he is a legend.

come to the Liverpool thread and i'll discuss our players' flaws all you like.

as you well know, i will.

this is about a utd player who i believe has severely waned in the last while, and it has been encapsulated by a very poor first half from him.

You are missing the games this season where he has run the show for us.

I think hes suited to playing certain types of teams. They are those who stand off and give him time to pull the strings. This is not one of those games. It needs an energetic midfield and the player most suited for that is having to play RB.

    i probably have so.

    but thanks for responding constructively.

at this stage of his career he probably is a bit of a luxury in midfield. he needs fletcher to get the most out of him.

Yeah Scholes is not the player he was, talk of him retiring is a little premature imo.

Yeah I couldnt agree more. He needs a player like Fletch to do a lot of his running/hustling for him. Ando hasnt delivered today and Gibson (albeit not totally down to him) is looking a little lost.

Jesus Christ, why the fook do commentators and analysists try to add extra pronunciation to names?

Stop it. It does not make you sound smarter, more cultured, more sophisticated or more in the know. What it does achieve however, is making you look like a complete twat.

Tosic is on the bench, not fooking Toe-zick.
