You're early enough to make it out to Howth. Otherwise, anywhere along the bike track on the Northside seafront or the East Link.

what time will you's be in Bray for again??..

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,505 ✭✭✭daymobrew

1h40m is the estimate on the bike course so probably by 2pm. So, be there for 1:45 or earlier to be sure.

Best of Luck. Have a great day out. Would love to be there.

I will declare for Tonto, as he is about my age (and my style icon:D).
However, fair play to Mockler. Its a fighting spirit and can do attitude like that, that is sorely missing in ireland at present - fair play to you kid, and the very best of luck.

This is one of those occasions where a Twitter account would be useful. I'm sure el tonto would have plenty of spare time to stop every few miles to tweet us an update.

Captain Havoc said he had negotiated a deal with Sky - looks like it's only the highlights

He should have gone with TG4 - they would have done it live :)

    For those on tenderhooks ...

By the time they cleared Sutton Cross, one of the competitors had dropped off the pack ...

Presume some of his team-mates went back to help him back on then?

I swore I saw a similar helmet in D15 around 10am this morning.

I tried to no avail. We stopped near St Annes Golf for a few mins. Nothing.

I was stationed 100 metres before the Merrion Gates.
12:57 - Merrion Gates go down!!
12:58 - Two guys in matching red and blue kits
13:00 - One guy in flouro yellow
13:02 - blorg + two other Boards jerseys; Gates go up!
    13:05 - el tonto + three
13:06 - Caroline, The_Claw, 3-4 others- pretty sure Raam was one
    13:12 - Mockler007

I wanted to take some photos, but the traffic was horrendous due to the gates going down and up.

    Exciting stuff!

Edit: They're the times at which the lads passed. All approximate- just looked at my phone each time.

Unfortunately slightly late but at east link checkpoint there was el tonto tete de la course (not sure if i'm using this correctly) with the main pack (ie everyone except mockler) unfortunately at this stage mockler had quite a gap to close of about 10 minutes.

Also Cdaly droppped out at this checkpoint due to *Mechanical Faults*
    Read:

When asked the reason for dropping out, one shall cite mechanical problems or oncoming sickness in order to avoid any negative speculation in regards to one’s fitness.
