Here's my contribution to the 1000 posts in 24 hrs lol

We've just had 3 big loud rumbles of thunder in Buncrana in Donegal. Don't think that means anything exciting except - it's thundering lol. Snow was amazing last night - lots of it and it was calm, fluffy and Christmasy :) . But it all melted today. Had the white effect due to some heavy hail showers this evening but thats been it. Looks like it might have passed us over now but holding on to positivity and hope I will jump out of bed in the morning to see if we've got a lovely white landscape once again.. :)

Ah that is why our dog freaked out; she heard it.

It is still beautiful up here; and the snow we have had and still have is greatly appreciated.

    No complaints here.

    should be followed by thunder!

There seems to be a band of snow/rain moving down from the North coast at the moment. I'm no expert when it comes to forecasting weather but I'd say your chances have increased anyways :D

Aw poor little doggy. I always feel sorry for them as its much louder for them than us. Enjoy your snow :)

it looks as if it's just going to stay cloudy now before eventually clearing to give a sharp frost for the rest of the night. i wonder will the southerly moisture on the 26th lose its pep once it moves inland:pac:

i'd happily - well, reluctantly - take a month of a bartlett high after this cold spell, or day upon day of mild southerlies, if we then got an epic event in January or February. an epic event, from my perspective, would be a foot of lieing snow.

RainToday has completely lost the faith. The midnight frame shows nothing anywhere

I think the south could get a dusting tonight.. Winds have picked up and using my limited research it looks like snow.

Cork City Centre is very cold with a clear sky and a very heavy frost, usually heavy for Cork.
