    ....because it diverted all its advertising earnings from customers in Britain to its Irish subsidiary.

    Just thought this was interesting in light of people complaining about/not liking the fact that people are going up north to shop. Tax competition is going both ways you know!

    they aint the only ones (see microsoft)

    there are billions flowing in thru companies into the country

    the only problem we dont get to see much of it, and if we try to take a bigger bite (via increasing corpo rates) they just leave altogether

    12% of somethings is better than 25% of nothing ;)

    Look at Aviva Hibernian. They are moving their HQ to Ireland because of tax reason.

    like what ei.sdraob said loads of companies are at it.

    SF if they had power they would increase corporation tax and just watch these companies leave for the best tax breaks.

    Its not just SF that want to increase the rate they pay.
