Hi,
I just joined boards.ie tonight and am very interesting in meeting new people and making new friends. Found the threads on social networking groups in Cork and think it's a great idea. Would love to be included in next outing (bowling in the leisureplex?) but not sure how it works - do you just turn up on the night or do you need to PM someone with a contact number???

Just come back "to life" (well, actually to Cork, was in Italy last week)
I'm afraid the 15-17 week end would be a no go for me, got some people paying a visit. I am available this weekend...and then any weekend beyond the now-famous 15th-17th...anyway feel free to decide what date suits you best

Welcome! Well normally you exchange numbers with someone so that you can meet them at the door at the time chosen (or a bit beforehand if you wish to calm the nerves!). Feel free to send me your number and I'll give you mine in return.

If there are any events that interest you then either post them in our stickied social outings thread or create your own one - just like this one

@krustyucc - The reason I chose bowling on this occasion is because it was the 2nd most popular option and if all we have is beers nights then it can get a bit boring and the non drinkers / seldom drinkers will never attend.

Nothing stopping you heading to a bar after bowling....;)

I'm sure some people will be heading to a bar after bowling however our last event was purely drinking so that's why this time it is bowling in the Leisureplex.

I can guarantee you that there will be Cork beers in the future (maybe organise one yourself if you want one sooner?)
