Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why do so much people use flickr when this happens ALL the time, it's so annoying!

I can't recall seeing it happen on any other image site except maybe photobucket, but thats terrible.

I tried looking at very old threads on here and on other sites and they were endless pages of praise and thumbs up for pictures that I couldnt see at all!

    So frustrating!

As far as i know this appears to happen mostly when the OP or photo owner moves his or her photo's to a new set or renames them. Of course you can still get this by Flickr simply having issues, but I'd say majority of the time it's down to files being moved or deleted by the user.

It probably because people have updated their albums or moved images around. This will mean that link is no longer valid.

It happens when you replace a photo too. the url of the jpeg changes and is not the same as what was quoted, so it's not a flickr problem.

Flicker is to much hard work, never liked the look or feel of it. Pix FTW.

I'm the exact opposite. I find the pix.ie UI to be incredibly intrusive. Flickr at least when you click into someone's photostream you can quickly get an idea of what their shots are like, unencumbered for the most part by extraneous clutter. Click into a pix.ie landing page and its like being assaulted by candyland. I actually have never looked through a single persons pix.ie stream here on boards, it's just too laborious.
