    Currently the only games I have are

    Pokemon Red and Yellow
    Pokemon Gold
    Super Mario 2 - 6 Gold Coins

    I lost my copy of Zelda - Link's awakening. :(

    What games would you recommend for both the gameboy and gameboy advance?

    I'm not too clued up on Gameboy but I'd recommend

    Probotector
    Alien 3 (surprisingly brilliant)
    Zelda Oracle of seasons and Ages
    Super Mario Land 1 and 2
    Warioland
    Batman the animated series
    Final Fantasy Legend 2
    Castlevania 2 Belmonts Revenge
    Castlevania Legend
    Mole Mania




    Gameboy advance off the top of my head

    Shining Force
    Astro Boy
    Zelda Minish Cap
    Golden Sun 1 and 2
    Drill Dozer
    All the Castlevania games
    Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission
    Fire Emblem
    Advance wars 1 and 2
    Gradius Advance/Galaxies
    Rhythm Tengoku

    And find a way to play Mother 3

    Golden Sun and Advance Wars are the best gameboy games I've ever played, both incredible in different ways.

    Megaman Zero 3, Astro Boy, Metroid Fusion & Advance Wars for the GBA.

    Tetris Blast for the Gameboy.

    Also get Chu Chu Rocket on the GBA. Very fun to play on the go :) And of course any of the Pokemon series are absolute essentials.

    GB:
    Tetris
    Micro Machines
    Castlevania
    World Cup Soccer

    Ninja Five-0
    SMA3: Yoshi's Island
    Klonoa / Klonoa 2
    Mario vs. Donkey Kong

    GB:
    Balloon Kid
    Batman

    And for the GB, I endorse retr0's choice of Mole Mania. One of the best puzzle games I've ever played.

    I have to add weight to the Advance Wars and Metroid Zero Mission arguments above. Absolutely amazing games for GBA.
