    no . well kinda . hahaha

    if the ear drum is perferated/torn/damaged there is a problem . a medical will have to be undertaken before training could comence . but i have been involved with try dive's with deaf people before .

    so the ans is kind of .

    go ask your doctor . this will pertain to your spicific ailments .

    is there a restriction on scuba diving for people deaf in one ear?

    If you're anywhere near Meath/North Dublin, get in touch with Mark or Lesley in Adventure Diving, Bettystown. They have recently completed a couple of PADI Open Water courses for (fully) deaf divers with the help of a sign language interpreter, and (at least) two of their instructors are learning sign language.

    So, they should be able to help you out.
