Working Hours Changed without Consent

Wondering if anybody can help with a query, a family member has been working 8am - 4pm for the last 5 years in a well known company. They have been told in the last few days that their hours will be changed in January from 9am - 5pm due to a move of premises.

These hours don't suit - just wondering if there is any argument/comeback given the existing hours have been in place for so long?

    Thanks

Unless your in the public service, you have no recourse, they could change you to 3-11pm every day and you still wouldn't have much recourse.
