Furniture retailer IKEA is recalling a children's highchair because the locks securing the seat to the frame are faulty.

The Leopard highchair, a popular seller in IKEA, consists of a plastic frame, with a seat that sits into the base secured by snap locks.

IKEA has received 11 reports of the locks breaking.

The company is warning that children can suffer injuries to their heads and bodies from falls. The snap locks pose a choking hazard when they break off. Leopard Highchair recalled

In one case a child was in the seat when it fell to the floor and suffered bruised legs as a result.

In a second incident a detached snap lock was found in a child's mouth - but was removed before the child could choke.

The company wants anyone who has purchased it to stop using it immediately and return it to the store.

Customers will receive a full refund.

    Scary stuff!
