Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A friend of mine has his itunes library on an external drive.

He has had to rebuilt the library a couple of times because inserting other usb items such as a usb memory stick into his laptop had changed the external drive letter.

There has to be a way to permanently assign a drive letter to an external drive?

I presume that with the increasing use of external drives this is becoming more of an issue for people.

He is using xp at the moment.

If you have it set to a letter like E: or F:, then it really is first come first served... If you plug in another drive it will snap up that letter.

Your best bet is to set it to a letter lower down which won't be used by anything else (I have my iPod as I:, Western digital drive as W:, Seagate as S: etc...)
To do this, right click on my computer, go to manage, then go to disk management and right click on the drive here and choose change drive letter/path.
