Anyone seen any good deals on AA / AAA / D batteries around town?
Need a stock pile of them for the big morning.

Not specific deals, but I'd go for Tescos own brand (blue and white ones, I've only noticed them recently) or Euro-two.

At the tills in smyths they have stock piles of batterys, I didn't take any notice of the price but they weren't brand name batterys so I doubt they'd cost all that much.

Pay the extra bit and get good batteries, otherwise half your day may be spent listening to the kiddies screaming about batteries! Cheap batteries are only ever good for tv remotes etc.

I usually get the duracell or energizer multipacks in B&Q. Think there are around 16 batteries in these and they are usually a good price, sorry I can't remember the price, I recently splurged out on an ac adapter so my battery days have come to an end!

Dunnes Terryland last night were doing 4 AA + the Recharger for €9. When you can recharge up to 1000 times is a no brainer.

Man 'disposable' batteries are so 1990. :p

Re-chargables are usless after a couple of charges.

I completely beg to differ... I have a house full of rechargeables... they are in everything, tv remotes, kids toys, wireless mice.... they are brillant!
